Two Midwestern marketing mavens got together to discuss how they got into marketing and what keeps them going…

Welcome to Buzzdwords, your (loosely) professional marketing podcast. It was just a normal day at the office when we were inspired to create this podcast. McKenna couldn’t help but share a fun marketing fact she had learned to the rest of the open-concept office and an idea was born.

We have four great content types planned for Buzzdwords: Trivia, Trends, Women Who Inspire and Unhappy Hour. In true Wisconsin fashion, each episode will include a drink pairing.

• Trivia episodes will feature fun facts about the industry you may not know.
• Trends episodes will showcase current industry trends.
• Women Who Inspire Us will highlight bad ass women not only in marketing but in business – from entrepreneurs to CMO’s to athletes – who are killing it and inspire us to do better.
• And last, but not least, an Unhappy Hour bringing together our closest friends and coworkers to talk some real talk about life and marketing.

We made eye contact and we were like “We should do a podcast”. And then we did.

In marketing, as in every industry, sometimes the job can wear on you. Add in a global pandemic and the need for inspiration is paramount. This project has been a great creative outlet. It has pushed us to learn more about the nuances that make up this industry. And, at the end of the day, we’re here to have a good time. So far, we’re succeeding.
